Chock full of instrumental screamers, The Return Of The
Fez-Men! proves that this Baltimore trio has the talent
and sound to equal or even best many of the acts currently
in the genre. Blending elements from yesterday (Dick Dale,
Link Wray, and practically the entire Del-Fi label surf stable
of the '60s) and today (Man Or Astroman, Los Straightjackets,
Satan's Pilgrims, Phantom Surfers, etc), the band blasts through
a baker's dozen of impressive, and often blistering instrumental
tracks. ... It's so cool, it's cruel!! As a final note, I must
say that the Swiv-O-Matics' Return Of The Fez Men! has
found a welcome home in my own, personal surf/car/rock & roll
instrumental collection. Ask anyone who knows me and they'll
tell you that that says it all!

Woo-hoo, surf music rules! And The Swiv-O-Matics is a
remarkable representation of the genre. Known formerly as
The Walkers, this Baltimore trio draws on the best of today
and yesteryear. Remember all those '60s surf bands your
parents listened to? Now think of Los Straightjackets, Man Or
Astroman? and Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet. That's what
The Swiv-O-Matics sound like: a conglomeration of all those
styles. Their best song here is "Royal Chicken To Go-Go."Its
happy-but-go-lucky percussion influences you to bop around the
neighborhood as if Gidget strolling down the beach. What more
could a fan of instrumental bands ask for?
